About Grants |
The Shuswap Community Foundation exists to provide a vehicle by which people can support their community in perpetuity. The Foundation has over $3.5 million in endowed assets, the annual earnings on which are distributed to support projects in the area that will enhance the quality of life of residents.
In addition to our regular grant program, the Foundation is often able to distribute money provided to the community by other agencies such as the Vancouver Foundation. The Shuswap Community Foundation also acts as an agent to receive applications for City of Salmon Arm Grants for Community Groups. Qualified organizations may apply for regular grants from the Shuswap Community Foundation. Regular grants support a broad range of projects. Application deadline June 15 of each year.
To be eligible for grants from any of these categories the applicant must be a registered charity and the project must be located within the Shuswap. (Under some circumstances an unregistered organization may have its project "sponsored" by a registered charity—approval in advance is required.) Please read the guidelines carefully before filling out your application form.
