The Shuswap Community Foundation has 12 members. These 12 are also the governing Board of Directors. Each board member serves a three year term, with the terms of four directors expiring each year. Half of the directors are appointed by an “ Appointment Committee” made up of the Mayors of Salmon Arm and Sicamous, the Dean of Okanagan College, the Chair of the Shuswap Hospital Foundation, a representative of the Columbia Shuswap Regional District and a member of the Board of School District 83.

The Board of Directors is supported by the part time work of two staff persons, Laurie Ankenman, who administers the office and Paulette Brown, the book keeper and office liaison with corporate sponsorships.

Our Story Book highlights a myriad of donors whose contributions have and continue to make a difference in the Shuswap. This book will be maintained in perpetuity in both paper and electronic form. It will continue to be not only an important record for the Foundation, but a precious archive for our community.
